Yorkshire and Humber Equalities Sections
This website is a resource for all NEU educators in the Yorkshire and Humber Region, put together by district equalities officers and organising forum reps for each of the four equalities sections:
- Black Educators
- Women Educators
- Disabled Educators
- LGBT+ Educators
Each of these sections have their own area of this website.
Wales, Northern Ireland and each region of England has a regional council with members elected by districts. In Yorkshire and the Humber, the districts are: Barnsley, Bradford, Calderdale, Doncaster, East Riding, Hull, Kirklees, Leeds, North-East Lincolnshire, North Lincolnshire, North Yorkshire, Rotherham, Sheffield, Wakefield, and York.
Each district may have some or all of the following officers: Black Educator's Officer, Women's Officer, Disabled Educator's Officer, LGBT+ Officer, Equalities Officer. Our region also elects representatives to the national equalities organising forums (up to three reps for each of the four sections).
